Food to try
Delhi is for street food done carefully: chaat, parathas in Chandni Chowk and kebabs around Jama Masjid. Agra is known for petha, and Jaipur for dal baati churma, laal maas and pyaaz kachori with masala chai.

October to March
Winter is dry and comfortable, though Delhi gets smoggy in November and cold in January. April to June passes 45C, and the July monsoon makes sightseeing days shorter.
