Khachapuri cheese bread and khinkali soup dumplings are the two dishes everyone remembers. Add badrijani walnut aubergine rolls, mtsvadi skewers and churchkhela on every street corner.

Culture & customs

The supra, a long Georgian feast led by a toastmaster, is the heart of hospitality here. The country is Orthodox Christian, so cover your head and shoulders in churches, and expect strangers to insist you eat more.
